Paul Wellness: ‘Military madness’ spreads like wildfire
Probably everyone in our peaceful little part of the world is aware of the terror that can be caused by wildfires being introduced into our tinder-dry landscape.
Using this metaphor, I would like to say there are wildfires of hate and military madness being spread by missiles and bombing by the U.S. military industrial complex in at least seven tinder-dry countries around the world.
Unclassified operations include Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Libya and Niger. There are obviously several more classified smaller fires.
When wildfires start, anyone knows that you call in the trained professionals armed with the right tools and manpower to put out the fires as quickly as possible.
What the world needs is many cooperative wildfire suppression teams to airdrop into hot spots around the world, to negotiate solutions to the various regional wildfires and put them out before they spread.
Only an insane pyromaniac would go around dropping explosives into the already hot situations.
We must veer towards sanity, or the wildfires will spread and connect. The Middle East will erupt in flames, and it will spread to the whole world.
