Paul Sachs: Thank you, Ms. Karin

On Tuesday evening, a small number of the countless young women who have passed through Ms. Karin’s magical dance studio got to hug her one last time.

During the past 20 years, I have been fortunate to watch each of my five daughters experience the wonder of becoming ballerinas, princesses and all manner of magical creatures in Ms. Karin’s dance studio. In a comforting, nurturing environment, girls learned the ballet positions and got to perform for proud family and friends for more than 30 years.

The studio has been a place to learn the rudiments of dance, but, much more importantly, to have fun, experience the joy of movement and gain confidence and poise.

Ms. Karin’s studio was a calm and beautiful oasis for so many children. She is one of those people who make Steamboat such a special place. She will be sorely missed.

Bravo Ms. Karin.
