Out and About: Strings School Days
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — After hours of practice, Steamboat Springs Middle School and Emerald Mountain School students took to the Strings Music Pavilion stage on March 8 to play alongside the band Shuffle. The students showcased their new skills with Vivaldi’s “Winter,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Les Miserables.”
Next week, Steamboat Springs High School and Moffat County High School students will join wind quartet Akropolis at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22 for a combined performance in the Strings Music Pavilion. They will be performing Gershwin prelude arrangements, as well as small chamber ensembles.
