AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING WITH AMENDMENTS, TITLE 14, SECTIONS 2.E.2, 2.E.3, AND 2.E.4, ONLY OF THE YAMPA MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO WATER AND SEWER RATES



BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF YAMPA, COLORADO:

Section 1. Sections 2.E.2, 2.E.3, and 2.E.4, Title 14 of the Town of Yampa Municipal Code, as amended, is amended as follows:



E. Monthly Water and Sewer Charges.

  1. Monthly Water and Sewer Charges will use both the base rate and metered billing rate.

  2. Water Rates. Residential and commercial users will use the same water billing rates. The base rate for water usage will be $28.60 per month for each equivalent residential unit. 5,000 gallons of water used will be included in the base rate for each equivalent residential unit for the months of September through April. 15,000 gallons of water used will be included in the base rate for each equivalent residential unit for the months of May through August. Water usage over the minimum gallons will be charged at $1.65 per thousand gallons or increments thereof.

  3. Residential Sewer Rates. The base rate for sewer usage will be $31.60 per month for each equivalent residential unit. For residential customers there will be only the base rate charge for sewer usage.

  4. Commercial Sewer Rates. The base rate for sewer usage will be $31.60 per month for each equivalent residential unit for commercial customers. Water usage over 10,000 gallons will be charged $1.80 per thousand gallons on the sewer rate or increments thereof.

Section 2. Severability.

If any part or parts, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Ordinance.

Section 3. Publication and Effective Date.

This ordinance shall be published in the Steamboat Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation within the Town. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect 30 days after such publication.
