One man is dead after a fire engulfed a home at River Ranch Mobile Home Park in Kremmling Monday night. Firefighters located the man’s body inside the residence on the 1100 block of Tyler Avenue after responding to the fire Sept. 18.

According to a news release by the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Grand County Dispatch received a 911 call of the structure fire at approximately 9:30 p.m. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found a mobile home unit fully engulfed in flames.

The Kremmling Fire Protection District, Kremmling Police Department, Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado State Patrol, Hot Sulphur Springs/Parshall Fire Protection District, Grand Fire Protection District No. 1 and Grand County Emergency Medical Services all responded to the scene. Law Enforcement officers who initially responded kept the fire from spreading to a nearby shed and residence. Fire crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire, according to the news release.

When firefighters entered the home, they found the man, who was later pronounced dead by the Grand County Coroner’s Office. The man’s identity and cause and manner of death will be released by the coroner when appropriate.

An investigation is ongoing by the sheriff’s office, the coroner’s office and Kremmling Fire Protection District. An investigator from the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control, and a crime scene agent from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are also assisting this investigation.
