One Book Steamboat trivia contest continues
Each fall, the Bud Werner Memorial Library presents One Book Steamboat, a community read for Steamboat Springs. In 2016, we are reading “Angle of Repose,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Wallace Stegner, honoring the Pulitzer centennial and “the dean of Western writers.”
Win a copy of “Angle of Repose” during the week-long trivia contest, then participate in a month of free discussions and events surrounding the novel. Questions will be posted daily through Friday, Oct. 7 in Steamboat Today and on the library’s website and Facebook page. Today’s question is as follows.
Wallace Stegner won the National Book Award in 1977. “Angle of Repose” won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in what year?
a. 1959
b. 1972
c. 1979
d. 1998
Submit your answer in person at the library front desk, message the Bud Werner Memorial Library Facebook page or email jlay@steamboatlibrary.org. Make sure you include your name and contact info.
The answer to yesterday’s question: Wallace Stegner’s 1960 essay, dubbed the “Wilderness Letter,” is part of the introduction to the National Wilderness Act of 1964. Learn more about One Book Steamboat at steamboatlibrary.org/events.
