One Book Steamboat Trivia Contest begins

Each fall, the Bud Werner Memorial Library presents One Book Steamboat, a community read for Steamboat Springs. In 2016, we are reading “Angle of Repose,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Wallace Stegner, honoring the Pulitzer centennial and “the dean of Western writers.” Win a copy of “Angle of Repose” during the weeklong trivia contest, then participate in a month of free discussions and events surrounding the novel. Questions will be posted daily, Oct. 1 through 7, in the Steamboat Today, on the library website and on the library’s Facebook page. Today’s question:

In “Angle of Repose,” Susan Ward is Lyman Ward’s grandmother. The grandmother’s state of mind is often conveyed by the use of letters. These letters are based on actually correspondence. Who wrote the original letters?

a. Wallace Stegner’s grandmother

b. Susan Burling Ward

c. Mary Hallock Foote

d. Helen Hunt Jackson
