One Book Steamboat continues with John Steinbeck biopic

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Bud Werner Memorial Library screens “John Steinbeck: An American Writer” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 in Library Hall. The documentary film is a biography about John Ernst Steinbeck Jr., the Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning American novelist and author of “The Grapes of Wrath,” “Of Mice and Men” and “East of Eden.”

This event is part of One Book Steamboat, the library’s 2018 community read featuring “The Grapes of Wrath.” Throughout October, the library is hosting many additional enrichment events to accompany the community read. In addition, the library has purchased extra copies of “The Grapes of Wrath” for its collection to ensure everyone is able to check out a copy of the book, read it and participate in the community conversation.
