On Monday, YVEA set to change weekly office hours to 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Yampa Valley Electric Association will change its office hours to 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Monday, June 4. The office will continue to be open Monday through Friday, excluding specific holidays. The current process for before- or after-hours communications remains the same. YVEA will continue to offer call service 24 hours a day, seven days a week for power outages or other emergency issues at 970-879-1160 or toll-free at 888-873-9832. Local students named to dean’s list at DePauw University

Kaleb VanArsdale and Peter White, of Steamboat Springs, were named to the spring semester dean’s list at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Program for moms transitions to using debit-style eWIC card

The Colorado Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children has switched from paper checks to a debit-style eWIC card. WIC provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support and supplemental nutritious foods to pregnant women, mothers and children who qualify.
