Old Town Hot Springs starts lap pool reconstruction project

With a new pump house project nearing completion, Steamboat Springs’ Old Town Hot Springs (OTHS) is ready to mobilize on the long-anticipated renovation of the lap pool, shallow pool and kiddie splash pad area.

Although the existing hot pools will remain open during construction, the lap pool area is now closed to the public. The non-profit’s semiannual pool maintenance week is from Sept. 18-22, which closes all pools as the 230-foot water slides are refurbished.

When the project is complete next summer, OTHS will have a 25-yard, eight-lane lap pool and diving board, a shallow depth community pool, hot soaking pool and a new and improved zero-depth kiddie splash area.
