Officials to discuss open seat

The Hayden Town Board will discuss whom to recommend for an open seat on the Routt County Planning Commission when it meets Thursday.

Town Manager Russ Martin said Jeff Fry and Frank Roitsch have submitted letters of interest for the open seat.

The Town Board will make a recommendation, but Routt County commissioners will make the final decision, Martin said.

“It’s important to the town of Hayden that someone is there that represents Hayden and the community at large,” Martin said. “Decisions are made that affect land-use decisions around our town.”

Also Thursday, a resolution will be introduced to adopt a schedule of fees for the town. Martin said the schedule outlines fees such as dog and sales tax licenses.

The Hayden Town Board meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in Hayden Town Hall.
