Off the Beaten Path bookstore to host 5 write-ins for NaNoWriMo novelists

Aspiring writers have a chance to participate in local NaNoWriMo events throughout November.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Write and exchange ideas with fellow novelists this month during the National Novel Writing Month, known as NaNoWriMo.

The NaNoWriMo goal is for participants to write a 175-page — 50,000-word — novel by midnight Nov. 30.

Participants began writing on Thursday, Nov. 1.

Off the Beaten Path in Steamboat Springs will host five NaNoWriMo write-ins from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 8, 15, 29 and 30 for attendees to write and exchange ideas with fellow novelists. The first write-in event was held Thursday, Nov. 1.

During write-ins, novelists have access to plug-ins and plenty of space, as well as opportunities to write and share ideas, breakthroughs, frustrations and more.

Bud Werner Memorial Library also offers a quiet and well-lit space to work on novels all month long.

Interested novelists should visit the official NaNoWriMo website to learn more about the national program.
