Robert ‘Bob’ James Mack, 79 of Craig, Colorado passed away November 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones and under the loving care of his caregiver, Jamie Copeland, from cancer.  Bob was born February 2, 1938 to Alfred and Edith Mack at home in Milner, Colorado. Bob had one brother (Billy) and four sisters (Betty, Bonny, Beverly, and Becky). He grew up on the 7N Ranch on Trout Creek in Twenty Mile Park. He attended 1st through 8th grade at the Eddie School on Trout Creek. He enjoyed terrorizing his siblings and classmates with pranks and other shenanigans.  On May 19, 1956 at the ripe old age of 17, he married his 13-year-old bride, Patricia Ann Powell. While raising their children-Roy, Glenda, and Patti-Bob worked in the ranching and coal mining industries. He retired from Edna Coal Mine in 1995. Bob and Pat enjoyed an active retirement on the deserts of Arizona during the winter months-where he became known as ‘Trail Boss’-returning to their home in Colorado for summers.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Pat, and their three children: Roy Mack of Craig, Glenda Ayres (Jim) of Craig, and Patti Muhme (Bob) of Hayden. He has five grandchildren: Robert Mack (Shannon), Crystal Muhme Fitch (Michael), Leo Muhme (Shawnna), Sarah Baker (Jason), and Ashleigh Muhme, and six great-grandchildren: Bailey Mack, Ila Muhme, Andrew Baker, Landon Baker, Eleanor Fitch, and Amara Muhme-Lewis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edith Mack; his brother, Billy Mack; and one sister Bonny Mathers.

He will be missed by all who loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sunset Meadows, 633 Ledford St., Craig, Colorado 81639.
