Carl Eugene Lopatin

Carl Eugene Lopatin, 72, died on September 27, 2016.
Carl was born on September 12, 1944 in Newton, NC, to parents Eugene Lopatin and Jenny (Yount) Lopatin. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1962 and from the University of Colorado in 1974 with a degree in Marketing and International Business.
He served in the USAF from 1965-1969 with an honorable discharge. Most recently he worked for Go Alpine in Steamboat Springs, CO.
He is survived by his son Nathan Lopatin of Windsor, CO, his daughter Alyssa Lopatin of Evans, CO, his daughter Jessica Lopatin of Middlesex, NY, his brother Tom Lopatin of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, and his sister Sue Lopatin of Venice, FL., 9 grandchildren, and 1 niece.
Carl was preceded in death by his mother Jenny Yount Lopatin, his father Eugene Lopatin, and his sister Carol Lopatin.
Carl was a loving father. He was a huge fan of the Colorado Rockies and an avid WWII enthusiast. He loved the Colorado Mountains.
A memorial service will be planned for the spring.
