Irving H. Gingrich, Jr. passed away on
Sunday, November 29, 2015 in Craig, Colorado. Irv was born July 25, 1930 near Pagoda to Irving H. Gingrich, Sr. and Carrie A. Bennett the oldest of four boys. Irv grew up in the Pagoda area until the family moved to Hayden. He worked for the Bureau of Public Roads for many years before returning to Craig and retired from ColoWyo as a dragline operator. Irv married JoAnn Seebaum in 1953 and they had two daughters. They later divorced and he married Barbara Fletcher in 1971. They had a daughter and a son.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald (Buzz), son Robert (Sam), sister-in-law’s Rita Gingrich and Patricia Proul.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughters Kathey Ogle (Dennis), Linda DeRose (Dave) and Valeria Clark (Lewis); brothers John Gingrich (Tonee) and Danny Gingrich; brother-in-law Richard (Bud) Proul; daughter-in-law Tracy Gingrich; grandchildren Michael Mogensen (Becky), Michelle Rasmussen (Shane), Carrie Broom (Donald), Tiffany Thomas (Mel), Tracy Gunnerson (Arnie), Troy DeRose (Sara), Skyler and Samantha Gingrich and twelve great-grandchildren.
At his request no memorial services will be held. He will be missed greatly. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA.
