Bernadette Clare Tritz, of Phippsburg, CO died on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 66. Bernadette was born on December 18, 1948, in Cavite, Philippines, to Robert M. and Esther (Clare) Plummer. She was raised and attended school in the Philippines. Bernadette married Donald H. Tritz on April 15, 1967 in Huntington Park, California and they made their home in the Philippines, Leadville and Denver, Colorado, Oregon, California and Aurora, Colorado prior to settling in Phippsburg in 2006. Bernadette enjoyed painting, cooking, crocheting, reading and fishing, Bernadette is survived by her husband Donald H. Tritz, of Phippsburg, CO; her daughter June (Jeff) Hicks, of Colorado Springs, CO; her sons Don (Shirley) Tritz of Okinawa, Japan, Thomas Tritz of Littleton, CO and Christopher (Sorrel) Tritz of Phippsburg, CO; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her sister Kathy (Gene) Martella, of Eugene, OR; her brothers Ralph (Michiko) Clare of Aurora, CO, Mark Clare, Phoenix, AZ, Wayne Clare, of Oklahoma, Tom (Marla) Clare of El Cajon, CA and James (Lula) Kornse of Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at The South Routt Bible Church with Pastor Phil Coleman officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Grant Mortuary.
