Amado Roland Lopez
 died peacefully at his home
 on August 9, 2015, in Grand Junction, Colorado at the 
age of 78. Roland is survived by two children, Rocky and Cindy; sister, Lugie and brothers, Norman, Nick, and Jerry. He was preceded in death by daughter, Debbie
Jo; son, Timothy Joe, and his sisters, Virginia, Mary, Peme and Dora. Roland is also survived by his companion, Mary Sue Draper; her three children, Jeff (Lahoma); Janet (Mike), and Kathy (Brad); nine grandchildren, Dena, Mindy, Jordan, Eric, Taner, Jenny, Marcus, Ronnie, and Cole,
and two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jackson. Roland will always be remembered
 as a kind and gentle man to all who knew him. He was born on October 13, 1936,
in Penasco, New Mexico, to Anicasio Lopez and Matilde Gonzalez. The family then moved to Craig, CO where he grew up and graduated high school. Roland later moved to Albuquerque, NM where he spent several years, before moving to Grand Junction, which lasted from December 22, 1983, until he retired on March 25, 2004. During his retirement, Roland managed Taylor’s Produce for several years, and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, wood carving and spending time with his two dogs, Tia and Callie, going for many walks. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at The Grant Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Craig Cemetery.
