Donalene Griffin

Donalene Griffin, 82, of Pleasant Grove, UT, passed away April 26, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00am at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blunt, SD.
Donalene Mae Norfolk Griffin was born August 26, 1932 at Harrold, SD to Harold and Florence Norfolk. She graduated from Harrold High School – Class of 1950. On September 2, 1962, she married Carlos Griffin. She had two children, Darla Joyce and James Harold Griffin.
Donnie was an RN – graduating from the Presentation School of Nursing, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mitchell, SD in 1954. She worked in various hospitals, nursing homes and as a nurse in the first aide station for Morrison Knudsen Construction in South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana.
After moving to Craig, CO she sold Avon for many years and won numerous sales awards. She was also involved in many community activities such as the American Cancer Society and the local “Budget Center”.
During the last three years of her life, she lived in Pleasant Grove, Utah near her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Darla Miller of Pleasant Grove, UT; two grandchildren: Richard (Mikaela) Miller of Lehi, UT and Michael Miller of Grand Junction, CO; 2 great grandchildren – Aerial and Camden Miller and her sister; Trudi Klassen and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos; her parents, one sister and her son.
