Virginia Lois Redmond

Virginia graduated from Lakewood High School and was a model for May D&F in Denver where she met William Redmond. They married two days before her 20th birthday on February 17th, 1950. Virginia and Bill raised 8 children out on the family ranch while often holding down secondary jobs. She was proceeded in death by her granddaughter Erin Michele, son-in-law Doug Smith of Steamboat, her brothers and sister, her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her children Mike (Patti) of Yampa, Maureen Smith of Steamboat, Patrick (Lori) of Fort Collins, Brian (Patricia) of Gateway, CO, Tom (Tonya) of Durango, Deirdre Monahan of Rapid City, SD, Kate of Denver, and Charlie (Debbie) of Arvada. As well as 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and all the Redmonds. We will remember her baking our birthday cakes and bridling our horses when we were too small to reach. A reception at the Soroco Elementary School in Yampa will follow Catholic services at St. Martins of Tours at 10 am Saturday, June 7th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Martins of Tours or to the charity of your choice in her name.
