Sarah Marie Peterson 32, of Craig, passed away Wednesday January 29, 2014 at The Memorial Hospital in Craig of a pulmonary embolism. Sarah was born on December 12, 1981 in Grand Junction, CO. Sarah was born to Connie Jo Gull-Washington and Michael Lynn Washington; however they divorced shortly after her birth and she was raised by the man she always considered her father, Aaron “Duffy” Robinson. She lived in the Olathe and Delta, CO area until she was 9 and then moved to Craig in 1990. Sarah graduated from Moffat County High School in 2000. While in her junior year she joined the Moffat County High School Work Program and began her career at Kmart. She has worked there for 15 years. Sarah enjoyed spending time with her family and her numerous pets. On June 3, 2000 she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Russell Lewis Peterson. On August 14, 2003 they had their only child, Mackinsie Leah Peterson who meant the world to her. Sarah was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Bernerd and Josephine Gull, paternal grandparents James and Otha Robinson, Uncle Jim Robinson and Aunt Jaunita Robinson. Sarah is survived by her husband Russell, daughter Mackinsie; parents Connie and Duffy Roninson of Craig, CO; grandmother Donna Gull of Eckert, CO; Father and Mother in-law Stan and Lucille Peterson of Craig, CO; brothers Michael(Buffi) Washington of Westminster, CO; Aaron “Danny” Jr. (Teresa) Robinson of Seattle, WA; Ken (Cindy) Peterson of Highlands Ranch, CO; Terrianne (Todd) Wheeler of Craig, CO; Richard Peterson (Valorie Vallejos) of Loma, CO; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her many close friends.
