Kristen Jeanne Raschke Stalder
February 6, 2014
Thirty-one years ago on May 14, 1982 in Steamboat Springs, CO a bouncing baby girl was delivered to us and sadly she left us too soon on January 26, 2014. Kristen is first and foremost a wonderful mother to the two loving boys she leaves behind Alexander (9) and Jordan (5). She was married to Walter Stalder on August 30, 2003. We remember Kristen as a daughter to Ken and Tammy Raschke of Craig, CO and Pamela Pearce of Canada. Kristen was the best sister to all of her siblings. Matthew Raschke of Denver, CO, Eric Raschke of El Paso, TX, Heather Medina of Port Hueneme, CA and Cameron and wife Vanessa Medina of Denver, CO. She was as loving and caring of an aunt as she was a mother, daughter and sister. She leaves behind 3 nephews Austin Medina, Lucas Medina and Liam Medina and two nieces. She will also be missed by her Aunts and Uncles Sylvia and Mike Griffiths and family of Craig, CO, Mary and Rod Gifford and family of Sheridan, WY, Will and Annalee Schott and family of Sheridan, WY, Billie and Darrell Smith and family of Sheridan, WY, Barbara Reece and family of Casper, WY and Paula and John Kinkaid and family of Craig, CO; and her Grandparents Marcella and Ted Kissam and Ron and Nancy Raschke. As well as her mother-in-law Nadeen Stalder and partner Tannis Mittelbach, sister-in-laws Amanda Stalder Corley and family and Marissa McKenney and family. Kristen is preceded in death by her Grandparents Theresa and Don Kinkaid, Grandparents William and Beverly Schott as well as cousin Colton Neff. Kristen grew up in Craig, CO until her sophomore year in high school where she ventured to Grand Junction, CO. There she home schooled and graduated moving on to study at Mesa State College. She met her husband, Walter, and was an Army wife and mother for 10 years. She was strong and courageous while her husband toured overseas twice. She was a loving, caring and attentive mother to her children and supportive of her husband's career choice. We will all miss Kristen dearly and hold her forever in our hearts. The memorial services for Kristen will be held on February 8, 2014 at 2pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1295 W. 9th St, Craig,CO.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Wells Fargo for the Kristen J Stalder Memorial Fund.
