Oak Creek Town Board to host watershed planning discussion
June 12, 2013
Steamboat Springs — The Oak Creek Town Board will meet at 7 p.m Thursday in town offices and host a discussion with Jackie Brown, of the Routt County Conservation District, and Mike Zopf, director of Routt County’s environmental health department, about the watershed planning process.
The Routt County Conservation District is working on the planning process and will be discussing issues regarding Oak Creek’s sub-basin at Thursday’s meeting.
The Town Board also will consider a supplemental budget Thursday.
Under the proposed supplemental budget, the general fund will see a net $1,893.29 reduction, as expenses increase by $70,403.48 and revenues increase by $68,510.19.
The electric fund expenses will increase $38,500 because of a generator upgrade. The LiveWell Fund budget — Oak Creek is the fiscal agent for the nonprofit — will see a $4,340 increase.
A resolution will be before the Town Board to amend the inspection fees for buildings less than 2,000 square feet with multiple medical marijuana licenses. A flat rate of $1,000 would be assessed to inspect the building rather than paying per license.
