Professionals invited to apply for exchange program
The Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs is inviting professionals ages 25 to 40 to apply for the Rotary Group Study Exchange Program. The program is designed to develop professional and leadership skills among young adults to better prepare them to address the needs of their communities.
Team members will spend a month visiting southern Brazil and living with Rotary families there, where they will learn about the Brazilian way of life, exchange ideas and develop personal and professional relationships. Rotary pays for most expenses, including transportation and meals. Applications for the program are due Nov. 26. Interviews will be conducted Dec. 3 in Laramie, Wyo. Quarterly competitive grant forms due Tuesday
The Yampa Valley Community Foundation’s quarterly competitive grant forms are being accepted through 5 p.m. Tuesday.he Community Foundation allocates funds for projects and programs that demonstrate progress toward achieving healthy community goals in the areas of art and culture, education, environment, health and human services, and recreation.he Community Foundation will consider proposals from organizations and individuals from nonprofit organizations in Routt and Moffat counties. Veterans benefits material at Workforce Office

Military veterans are encouraged to stop by the Workforce Office in the Sundance at Fish Creek shopping center to visit with the Routt County Veterans Affairs officer. Find out about the benefits earned by serving in the military. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. Library hosting story-time every other Thursday
Bud Werner Memorial Library invites children ages newborn to 5 to Hodgepodge story-time from 3:30 to 4 p.m. every other Thursday. Hodgepodge is a free, drop-in program, and will be offered Nov. 3 and 17, and Dec. 1 and 15. Snacks and an activity are provided. Call 879-0240.
Chix with Stix selling wreaths as fundraiser
The Chix with Stix women’s hockey team is selling holiday wreaths as a team fundraiser. Anyone interested in purchasing wreaths, garland or door swags can call Lisa Owen at 879-5668. Orders will be accepted until Monday, with delivery expected in early December.
Snowboard Outreach Society volunteers sought
