Veterans Day potluck dinner will be Saturday

A Veterans Day Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Yampa American Legion Building. All guests are asked to bring a potluck dish to share. Meat and drinks will be provided by the American Legion. After the dinner, turkey Bingo will be offered. Call Arlene Porteus at 638-4496.

‘Support the Troops’



drive seeks donations

Monetary and tangible donations are being sought for the “Support the Troops” holiday drive. Tax-deductible donations may be sent to the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, P.O. Box 774965, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477. “Support the Troops” should be written on check memo lines.



Tangible donations may be dropped off at Steamboat Real Estate Inc. or Prudential Steamboat Realty. For more information or to submit an address of a military person serving, call Marci at 879-5000 or Molly at 879-8100.

West Routt Library District seeks trustee

The West Routt Library District has one opening on its board of trustees. Hayden residents interested in serving on the seven-member board are asked to stop by the Hayden Public Library to pick up an application form. This is a voluntary position, and the term will begin Jan. 1. Call the library at 276-3777.

VNA flu shots available

for high-risk children

The Visiting Nurse Association is providing flu shots on a sliding scale, from free to $15, for infants 6 months to 23 months old and other high-risk children. For an appointment, call 879-1632.

Hahn’s Peak Historical Society taking proposals

The Hahn’s Peak Area Historical Society is soliciting proposals for restoration projects in historic Hahn’s Peak Village. Proposals are due Nov. 30. For details, call Brian Watterson at 871-1979 or e-mail bwatterson@peabodyenergy.com.
