Wapiti Bowmen 3-D shoot is today at Dean Acres
The Wapiti Bowmen 3-D shoot is today and Sunday at Dean Acres. Trophy and fun shoots will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, and smoker and fun shoots will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The cost to enter is $20 for the trophy shoot and $10 for the fun shoot. For directions, call 879-2919 or 736-8280.
Vacation Bible School offered in Yampa
Lava Lava Island Vacation Bible School program for children ages 3 through sixth grade will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 7 through 11, at the Yampa Bible Church in Yampa. Registration is free and takes place at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Call 638-4411.
LIFT-UP sites closed Monday for Memorial Day
All LIFT-UP sites will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. The food bank, thrift store and donation center will be open as usual Tuesday.
Basketball camp offered in June at high school
A Fundamentals of Basketball camp will be offered June 7 through 10 at Steamboat Springs High School. Camp for third- through fifth-graders is from 9 to 11:30 a.m., while sixth- through eighth-graders meet from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The cost is $45 and includes a T-shirt and basketball shorts. ‘Jolly Holidays’ presented June 5 at Oak Street studio
Dance auditions for “Jolly Holidays,” put on by the Oak Street Performing Arts Company, will be June 5 at the studio at 326 Oak St. Dancers ages 5 to 10 will audition at 10:30 a.m.; dancers 11 and older will audition at noon. Arrive early to register. Call 871-1880.
Community health center changing its summer hours
The Community Health Resource Center at Yampa Valley Medical Center will change its hours of operation for the summer. Beginning on Tuesday, its summer hours will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
‘A Chorus Line’ auditions are June 14 and 15
Auditions for “A Chorus Line” will take place from 5 to 8 p.m., June 14 (dance) and 15 (acting and singing) at Steamboat Springs High School. They are seeking community actors, dancers and singers, including an off-stage chorus, who are 14 and older for the inaugural summer show July 22 through 24. Everyone auditioning should prepare a 30- to 60-second monologue and part of a song.
