‘Ski for Research’ group holding fund-raiser
Steamboat Springs is hosting through Tuesday a group of Chicago-area vacationers, who are dedicated to “Ski for Research.”
The annual event is a men’s-only ski trip benefiting the Davidson-Brin chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation.
The fund-raiser was founded in 1986 by Gerald Brin of Mundelein, Ill., to honor the memory of his nephew, Alan Brin, who died of leukemia at age 10.
“Together, we can ski for hope, ski for a cure and ski for life,” Brin said.
The group will fly direct to Yampa Valley Regional Airport on American Airlines, and in addition to skiing and riding in Steamboat, they’ll enjoy a Super Bowl party.
Participating sponsors include: Steamboat Resorts, Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp., Canyon Creek at Eagleridge, Christy Sports, Alpine Taxi/Limo, Inc., American Airlines, The Flamingo Las Vegas and Rossignol Ski Corp.
For more information, call Brin at (847) 566-5467.
