Neighbor takes vacuum without permission: The Record for Thursday, March 29, 2018

12:16 p.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a custodian in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue who was repeatedly having to clean up spit in one of the bathrooms. Police said the spit might have been related to a relationship issue.

12:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who was shoplifting in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The person was arrested on suspicion of theft.

1:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who had stolen a license plate off of a vehicle in the first block of Fifth Street.

5:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who took their neighbors vacuum cleaner without permission from an apartment in the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue and refused to give it back.

9:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone banging on someone's door in the first block of Cedar Court. The person was gone when officers arrived.

9:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance involving three roommates in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. Police mediated the argument.

11:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who appeared to be staying at an apartment without the landlord's permission in the 2700 block of Cross Timbers Trail. There was also reportedly some damage to the garage of the unit. When police arrived, they found a man and a woman at the apartment who did not have permission to be there. They were arrested on suspicion of first degree criminal trespass and burglary for entering the residence unlawfully.
