National Geographic photographer to hold Skype conversation

Bud Werner Memorial Library and Yampa Valley Photographers Club present a conversation about craft, entrepreneurship and adventure with National Geographic photographer Jim Richardson at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 in Library Hall.

Richardson has photographed more than 30 stories for National Geographic. His work takes him around the world, from the tops of volcanic peaks to below the surface of swamps and wetlands.

Local photographer Scott Bideau will moderate a Q&A session via Skype with this globetrotting photographer who manages worldwide adventures based out of Lindbsorg, Kansas.

In addition to taking audience questions about the craft of photography, Richardson will talk about the ongoing challenges of running a business from a small town, what it takes to cover everyday life while traveling the world as a journalist and his witness to the global agricultural obstacles in feeding a hungry planet. This event is free.
