NATHANIEL RILEY MATTERN

1979-2002

Nathaniel Riley Mattern, 22, died Jan. 2, 2002, of a congenital heart problem .He was born Jan. 14, 1979, in Denver, to Chester “Chet” and Cherilynn “Cheri” (Bouricius) Mattern. He graduated from Hayden High School in 1997. Nathaniel belonged to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chandler, Ariz.

He is survived by his parents, Chet and Cheri Mattern, and a sister, Alisha Ann Scheffner, all of Gilbert, Ariz.

Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Jan. 7, 2002, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chandler, Ariz.
