Mountain bikers rack up results in Wyoming

A pack of Steamboat Springs cyclists recorded strong results last weekend at the Laramie Enduro race in Laramie, Wyoming.

Katie Lindquist helped lead the way for local riders on the 70-mile course, winning the women’s division of the race in 6 hours, 28 minutes and 53 seconds.

She was just the first of a big Steamboat vanguard who took on the race.



Dave Mark was third in the men’s 50-plus division, finishing his race at 6:08:58, and just ahead of two other Steamboat riders in the same category. Mel Steward was 10th at 6:33:49 and Robin Craigen 11th at 6:38:52.

Donald Nyquist was 10th in the men’s 30-39 division at 6:49:27 while Helen Beall earned a podium finish in the women’s 30-39 class, placing third at 6:56:35.



Graham Muir was 16th among the 40-49 men in 6:59:19. Jon Kowalsky was 22nd among men 40-49 at 7:11:22. Lisa Marno was third in the women’s 50-plus division, finishing in 7:38:55, and Patti Lindquist placed fourth in the women in that same division at 7:55:05.

Jessica Platt was fourth in the women 29-and-under at 8:07:37. Lianna Gregory was ninth in women’s 30-39 division at 8:14:22, David Jordan 40th in the men’s 40-49 class at 8:44:14 and Kellie Rene eighth in women’s 40-49 at 8:46:47.
