Mountain bike race closes Emerald Mountain trails this weekend

Several trails on the Emerald Mountain Trail Network will be closed to the public from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25 for Colorado High School Mountain Bike League’s Showdown in the Boat races.
Races will begin behind Howelsen Lodge and the following trails will be closed: Bluffs Loop, Connector Trail, Howelsen Meadows, Ricky’s Ridge, Lupine, Blackmer, Orton Trail, NPR and Mile Run.
The course does not use any trails above the base of Lupine. Public access to the top part of the mountain that can be reached using MGM.
