Metro couple court hearing set for May 10
Steamboat Springs — A Denver-area couple arrested in a sting operation outside Steamboat Springs last week is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing next month. Jimmie and Patricia Scantlin were arrested April 12 on suspicion of distributing methamphetamine and cocaine and possession of cocaine.
According to the Scantlins’ arrest warrant, an undercover GRAMNET officer set up a drug transaction in a parking lot at the Haymaker Golf Course. The Lakewood couple was allegedly caught giving the officer one ounce of cocaine and two ounces of methamphetamine in exchange for $4,500.
The Scantlins are being held in the Routt County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond. Their preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 10.
