Methodist church hosts end-of-life speaker series

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Heart of Steamboat United Methodist Church is hosting a five-week speaker series focused on how to make informed end-of-life decisions.

Speakers from Northwest Colorado Health’s Hospice Program, an attorney and a representative from the local funeral home will discuss various topics, including how to talk with family members about end-of-life wishes, medical-legal advanced care planning, hospice care services, the Colorado End of Life Options Act and important practical steps to be taken after the death of a loved one.

The series will be on held from noon to 1 p.m. on five consecutive Thursdays from  Sept. 13 to Oct. 11 at the church at Eighth and Oak streets. Visit HeartofSteamboat.com/speakerseries for more information.
