McCutchan hired as Steamboat Resorts’ digital communications manager

Maren McCutchan has joined the marketing team at Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. as the new digital communications manager.

Prior to this position, McCutchan worked for the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association for seven years. She started at the Chamber in 2011 planning and executing Chamber-produced special events such as the Steamboat Marathon and Hot Air Balloon Rodeo. In 2015, she joined the Chamber marketing team as the public relations manager serving as a spokesperson for Steamboat Springs as a resort destination and overseeing the Chamber’s social media efforts.

In her new role with Ski Corp., McCutchan will be responsible for managing Steamboat Resort’s presence on social media channels as well as implementing domestic and international social strategy and campaigns. Additionally, she will act as a resort spokesperson and perform public relations duties including community relations, internal and company-wide communications, creation and pitching of PR stories, hosting media and responding to press inquiries. McCutchan will hire and supervise Straight Talkers and bloggers in addition to managing web cams.



McCutchan is a Colorado native from Fort Collins where she received a Bachelor of Arts in communications and business administration from Colorado State University. She learned to ski and snowboard during family vacations to Steamboat growing up and has called the Yampa Valley home for over seven years.
