Margaret Summer 1911-2000

Margaret Summer died April 8, 2000, at the Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was 88.
Margaret was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Littleton to Robert and Gertrude Whitham. The family then moved to Hayden.
She married Herbert M. Summer in July of 1932. They lived in Hayden until 1955.
She is survived by three daughters, Neva Oaks of Dalton Gardens, Idaho, Charlene Barnes and her husband, Bill, of Hayden and Vicki Summer of Denver; sons-in-law Tom Penley of Sedalia and Donald Bryant of Thorton; sister-in-law Neva Summer of Grants, N.M.; special friend Penny Nabity of Denver; three nephews; two nieces; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; parents; two daughters, Bobette Bryant and Sally Penley; an infant daughter, Nelda; and three brothers, Jack, Maurice and Robert.
Memorial services were held April 11 at the Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will be at the Hayden Cemetery.
