1:42 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers noticed an occupied vehicle parked at Emerald Park. Officers talked to the occupants, who said they were just talking. One of them lived in the neighborhood.
2:29 a.m. Officers received a report of a bear near a residence in the 1100 block of South Lincoln Avenue.
6:58 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to an unknown injury crash about a mile west of Milner on U.S. Highway 40.

11:24 a.m. A person reported their tires had been slashed in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle.
11:29 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to a report of a manure pile on fire in the 33600 block of U.S. Highway 40. People were working to deconstruct an old barn when a manure pile inside caught fire. The caller was able to put out the flames before firefighters arrived but wanted firefighters to check on the smoldering pile. The manure was still hot when firefighters arrived. They put additional water on the pile and stirred it to put it out completely.
11:38 a.m. Two people were arguing about a maintenance bill in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers mediated.
12:31 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 32300 block of Routt County Road 14 near Steamboat Springs.
3:01 p.m. A person reported receiving an obscene phone call from a blocked number in the 2500 block of Val D’Isere Circle.

5:49 p.m. A man threatened to kill another person’s dog, and after leaving the person’s property, the man returned. He was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and cruelty to animals.
5:58 p.m. Employees contacted police after a man refused to leave a bar in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. He left before officers arrived.
8:56 p.m. Deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 25900 block of Routt County Road 43 near Steamboat. The owner of the vehicle was driving another vehicle when they saw the car parked at another residence. They notified officers, who spoke to a person at the residence who did not have permission to use the vehicle. Deputies arrested a person on suspicion of aggravated motor vehicle theft.
9:32 p.m. Deputies received a report of a suspicious incident in the 31500 block of Routt County Road 35.

- Steamboat officers had 26 cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
- Sheriff’s deputies had 12 cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
- Steamboat firefighters responded to six calls for service.
- West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters responded to one call for service.
- North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters responded to one call for service.
- Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters responded to one call for service.
