2:39 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called about a drunken pedestrian struggling to get into a residence in the 100 block of Mountain Village Circle. Officers contacted the pedestrian and issued a citation for minor in possession.

9:17 a.m.Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters assisted someone having a stroke in the 2200 block of Curve Plaza. 

9:42 a.m. Employees of a motel in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue called officers to ask for help with kicking out a disorderly man. Officers issued a trespass warning.

11:40 a.m. A dog was running around the Steamboat Springs High School without an owner. Officers took the dog to the Routt County Humane Society.

1:01 p.m.Officers were called about a pedestrian who got hit by a Steamboat Springs Transit bus at Steamboat Resort. The pedestrian declined medical assistance and left before officers arrived. 

3:47 p.m.Officers were called about a white Mazda that ran a school bus stop sign at Seventh and Aspen streets. They were unable to locate the vehicle. 

5:17 p.m. Someone lost an iPhone at the ski area. They called officers to report the loss but later used the Find My iPhone app to locate it.

5:49 p.m.Officers were called about a white Buick that had been swerving and speeding along Lincoln Avenue. They were unable to locate the vehicle. 

7:09 p.m. Officers were called about a woman causing a disturbance at a bar in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.

9:54 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called about a disturbance at a hot springs in the 44200 block of County Road 36. A man was kicked out of the springs for playing loud music and refusing to turn it down.

10:42 p.m. Officers received a noise complaint in the 2000 block of Bear Drive. A neighbor was upset by loud music in the area, but officers were unable to find the source of the music.

  • Steamboat officers had 21 cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
  • Sheriff’s deputies had eight cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
  • Steamboat firefighters responded to three calls for service.
  • West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters responded to one call for service.
