Man abandons car on Hilltop Parkway after running out of gas: The Record for Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018

4:19 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers encountered an abandoned vehicle taking up a lane of traffic on Hilltop Parkway. Police called the owner of the vehicle, and he said he had run out of gas on the road and the police should just tow it. 

10:29 a.m. Officers were called to a report of someone receiving harassing text messages in the 2500 block of Val D’Isere Circle. 

11:10 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of a two-vehicle car crash in the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police said there were no injuries.

5:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found at Val D’Isere Circle and Anthony’s Circle.
