Local snowboarders head to Italy for Junior events

— A pack of Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club athletes will represent the club and the nation in the FIS Junior World Snowboard Championships, which are set to start later this month in Valmalenco, Italy.

Mick Dierdorff and Chloe Banning will race snowboard cross. Christian Allen, Rosina Mancari, AJ Muss and Cassie Wagar will race Alpine, and Arielle Gold, Taylor Gold and Kirby Kelly will compete in the halfpipe.

Action gets going March 29 and wraps up April 3.
