Local officials to discuss impacts of COVID-19 on area recreation during Thursday live panel

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Local officials will participate in a live panel discussion Thursday to speak about the effects of COVID-19 on area recreation, including fitness centers, the ski resort, summer camps and sports leagues.

The virtual discussion starts at 10:30 a.m., and panelists include Routt County Commissioner Doug Monger; Stephanie Orozco, Old Town Hot Springs executive director; Angela Cosby, Steamboat Springs Parks and Recreation director; and Dave Hunter, vice president of mountain operations at Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp.

The panels are sponsored by the city of Steamboat Springs and Routt County in partnership with Steamboat Pilot & Today.



Editor Lisa Schlichtman will moderate the panel discussion, which will be available as a live video on Steamboat Pilot & Today’s Facebook page, on TV18, the local news station Comcast TV6 and on the city’s website.
