CHRISTMAS IN THE ROCKIES WILL BE HELD HERE NEXT WEEKEND

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSSteamboat Springs Arts Council presents Christmas in the Rockies featuring a holiday craft fair with original works by local and regional artists in 46 booths.

The event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Strawberry Park Elementary.

A live pianist will perform mid-morning and catered Greek food is available. Hands-On! Children’s Museum will feature Santa for the children. Call 879-9008 for more information.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD, VNA SET LOCAL VIGIL FOR WORLD AIDS DAY

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSTogether, the Visiting Nurse Association and Planned Parenthood will sponsor a candlelight vigil for World Aids Day this week.

The event is at 5:30 p.m. Friday on the Routt County Courthouse lawn.

COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE WILL BE HELD AT AIRPORT ON DEC. 11

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSThe next Steamboat Springs community blood drive is from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Steamboat airport.

To schedule an appointment or for more information call 879-2081. A bone marrow registry drive is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 8 at Yampa Valley Medical Center Conference Center. All people must be between 18 and 60 and the cost is a $25 testing fee. For more information, call 879-8192 or 879-1119.

REGISTRATION FOR LITTLE TOOTS PROGRAMS CONTINUES THIS WEEK

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSMount Werner Little Toots Program registration for children 3.5 and up is ongoing through Friday.

The programs will be offered Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings starting in December. Cost is $75 for five sessions. For information, call the Kids Vacation Center at 871-5375. Howelsen Hill Little Toots registration for ages 4 through kindergarten is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Winter Sports Club. The program is offered Wednesday mornings and afternoons starting Jan. 2. Cost is $75 for five two-hour lessons. For information, call Heather Yeager at 879-0011.

BRUNCH WITH JAZZ QUARTET IS AT THE DEPOT NEXT SUNDAY

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSA jazz brunch with the Steamboat Springs Jazz Quartet is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Depot. Winona’s is catering the brunch.

Tickets cost $15 and are available at All That Jazz or at the Depot. For information, call 879-9008.
