AIRLINE AND TRAVEL CONSULTANT TO SPEAK ON VACATION TRENDS

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSThe Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. will host airline and travel consultant Peter Yesawich at its Third Annual Airline Partners Summit at 8 a.m., Feb. 6, at the Steamboat Grand Hotel.

Yesawich will give a talk titled: “America in Transition: A Preview of Emerging Lifestyles and Travel Trends in the Aftermath of Sept. 11.”



The program is by invitation for businesses that have contributed to the Steamboat Springs Transportation Support Fund, which helps to underwrite direct ski season jet flights.

HEUGA’S SNOW EXPRESS FOR MS SET FOR MARCH 3 AT STEAMBOAT



STEAMBOAT SPRINGSJimmie Heuga’s 17th annual Snow Express for MS is March 3 in Steamboat Springs. Teams of participants compete against each other in a dual giant slalom race. Participants, skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities, must raise $1,000 by the date of the race. The more money raised, the better the prizes.

Money raised will benefit The Heuga Center, a nonprofit scientific research center dedicated to improving the lives of people with multiple sclerosis. Call 888-DO-IT-4-MS, 879-7860 or visit http://www.heuga.org to register for the race and for more information.

ALLARD REP TO HOLD OFFICE HOURS FEB. 1 AT CENTENNIAL HALL

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSU.S. Senator Wayne Allard’s area representatives Andrea Richard and Kristi Pollard will conduct Senate office hours from 8 to 9 a.m. Feb. 1 in the Crawford Room in Centennial Hall.

“I want to extend an invitation to anyone in Steamboat Springs, Hayden, Oak Creek, Yampa and Routt County who is experiencing a problem with the federal government or would like to pass along an opinion on a current issue before the U.S. Senate, to stop by and visit with Andrea and Kristi Friday morning,” Allard said. to have meeting on Monday

The Routt County Democratic Party’s central committee meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday in the Commissioners Hearing Room, Routt County Courthouse. There will be a discussion of election 2002 and candidates. The public is welcome. Call Ben Beall at 879-4234.
