Lisa, Dominic, Bryanna and Isabel Medina, and Ken and Cindy Montgomery: Thanks for support

Steamboat Springs — Although we have always known what a wonderful community of people we have the honor of living among in South Routt, when the community's generosity reached out to us and our family following Michael's third heart surgery (for the hypoplastic left-heart syndrome he was born with) and the following complications that placed him on the transplant list, we hardly know what to say. — Although we have always known what a wonderful community of people we have the honor of living among in South Routt, when the community's generosity reached out to us and our family following Michael's third heart surgery (for the hypoplastic left-heart syndrome he was born with) and the following complications that placed him on the transplant list, we hardly know what to say.

Your overwhelming support has made our stay in Denver since Aug. 8 less financially burdening. We can never repay everything that has been done for us and our family, and “thank you” seems so small in comparison, but please know that as we say them, they come very gratefully and appreciatively from the bottom of our hearts.

We would like to particularly thank all the staff and students at the elementary, middle and high schools who put together two terrific fundraisers – especially Mr. and Mrs. Farris, Brenda Little and the students of EPYCS for the concession stand that sold all the burritos made by Mr. Farris and bake sale items made by many. We’d also like to thank my good friend Tammy Delto and Mrs. Hayne for the soup/dessert/auction fundraiser at the elementary school and all who worked so hard on both of them. A special thank you also to all who have sent cards, donations and prayers on Michael’s behalf.

Please continue to hold Michael in your prayers as we remain at Children’s Hospital at this time.
