Letter to the editor: A shout out to Northwest Colorado Health
Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,
Recently, I was the recipient of a copy of the Strategic Plan for Northwest Colorado Health (2025-2027). I could not be more impressed with the strategies and objectives outlined in this report.
The strategies include evolving how the organization serves, securing the organization’s future, supporting its workers, and expanding partnerships. The objectives specifically outline how these strategies can be achieved.
I do not work for this organization, but I have been served by it on many occasions, and I know many of us will use its services in the future. For example: Rescuing Casey’s Pond took an extraordinary amount of work and partnering, and as we age, we all will benefit from the herculean efforts provided by Stephanie Einfeld (Chief Executive Officer) and her amazing crew to save this valuable resource.
So thank you to everyone who participated in creating this plan; one third of the residents of the Yampa Valley use NW CO Health and at some point in time each of us will be beneficiaries of this good work.
With the continued efforts and hard work of everyone who works there, NW CO Health will surely achieve the goal of its new vision that Northwest Colorado “will be a healthy and thriving community because we provide accessible and comprehensive health resources and services.”
With gratitude,
Nancy Spillane
