Letter: A Heartfelt thank you
It has been a little more than five weeks since I experienced a very serious automobile accident and it is important to me to make a public “Thank You” to this amazing wonderful community.
First, I must thank Mr. Patrick Archer and Ms. Donna Lynn Bailey. I would not be here to thank anyone if you two had not stopped and helped me. Thank you, Thank you! You will always be angels in my eyes!
Thank you to the ambulance crew from the town of Yampa. I don’t know any of your names, but you all selflessly came to my aid in the middle of night and kept me going. Thank you sounds so small and insignificant.
Next, a huge thank you to ER Dr. Nathan Anderson, admitting Dr. Allen Belshaw and all the kind and sensitive staff at Yampa Valley Medical Center. A special thank you to my ICU nurses, Cyndie Hill (the nurse extraordinaire and that contacted my family they all send love and thank yous) and Kady Watson, your smiling sweetness helped me see the brighter side of things (let’s go shopping sometime); Jane Howell: You are an amazing woman! Thank you for your warm, sensitive and silly ways. My family loves you, too! You are so good at what you do. John Brockman, you’re the best CNA in my book! And I also want to thank all the bus drivers that helped my family get back and forth to the hospital.
Thanks to Dr. Borgerding, Susan Cowan, the van drivers and the PT staff for your continuing aid in my recovery. Yampa Valley Medical Center really is an amazing place. It’s a hospital, it’s professional, but it’s warm and friendly and has a real homey feel thanks, it really does help in the recovery process!
Meg Montgomery and Mike Rossman (Nick and Sam, too): You are all such special people to me. I can never really express my gratitude to you, (but I’ll keep trying!)
Duke Auston (the most awesome boss I have ever had) has gone so far out of his way to help me, I don’t know how to thank you. I must also mention Betsy, Cipi, Rachel, Cindy, Katie, Annabelle and all my friends at KVC. You are such a great group of people. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with you, an experience I will not forget.
A very special thank you to all the people at the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. How can I possibly thank you all? I am not ever sure what names to mention you have anonymously given fro you heart. Thank you!
I can’t neglect to mention all my special friends and neighbors. Wendy Bashaw for all your work and help (you are like a part of the family). Cindy O’toole for my new do! Michael and Connor Frasier for a trip to the store and wonderful food. Mary and Drew Williamson for the delicious meal and uplifting spirit. Bobi Hodges for checking on me on a regular basis. And Nicole Raisovaa for my beautifully clean house.
I know there are many more names, but in some cases, I remember warm wishes, encouraging words and sensitive acts of kindness but regretfully I can’t remember names. Please forgive and know that I appreciate all that has been done for me!
I am a lucky woman 1. to be here 2. to have such wonderful friends 3. to live in Steamboat!
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
