Leslie Ryan: We must all care

In recent weeks, the Off the Beaten Path Bookstore deck has been vandalized.

You may have noticed the posts on the deck over the creek have been kicked out, which has created a hazardous situation. You may have noticed my signs asking the vandals to stop and think about their actions.

Last week, the bronze artwork in front of the bookstore was pushed over and broken and more posts on the deck were smashed.

Vandalism creates an environment of fear and distrust. I’m asking for everyone in the community to help stop this escalating vandalism. Open your eyes and ears and please support the police in their efforts to stop these vandals.

It is up to all of us to care for our community.
