Leland W. “Lee” Mekelburg, 53, died Nov. 24, 2001, at his home.

Leland was a superintendent for Haseldon Construction Inc.

He is survived by his wife Linda Sue Mekelburg of Grand Junction; a son, Jeremiah John Mekelburg of Spearfish, S.D.; a step-son, Marcus Charles Orr of Yampa; a step-daughter, Catrina Sue Mills of Cheyenne; his mother, Ola Ruth Mekelburg of Lexington, Ky.; five brothers, Clayton Mekelburg of Fort Lupton, Larry Mekelburg of Reno, Nev., Thomas Mekelburg, Lexington, Ky., Michael Mekelburg, Tampa, Fla. and Mark Mekelburg of Portugal; three sisters, Barbara Ayash of Compton, Calif., Inez Hightower of Phoenix, Ariz. and Karen Damron of Sacramento, Calif. and two grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 29, 2001, at the home of Verla Stalker.
