U.S. military veterans were honored during a program at Hayden High School on Thursday and were provided with a lunch, which was shared with parents and students.

Routt County CattleWomen’s Association membership drive is gearing up. Anyone who would like to become a member should call Jo Stanko at 970-879-3936 or Laurie Hallenbeck at 970-276-4152. You don’t need to own cattle to become a member.
It’s 4-H membership time. If you have a child who would like to participate in anything from raising livestock to participating in family and consumer science activities, call the Routt County Extension Office in Steamboat at 970-879-0825.
Mark your calendars for the Hayden Christmas Tree Festival. Hosted by the Friends of the Christmas Tree Festival, the fourth-annual event will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Routt County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. Come and buy a tree, wreath or centerpiece to place in your home or office to the local nonprofits in Routt County.
For all you Christmas shoppers, craft fairs are popping up. Check out the 30th Annual Yampa Arts and Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at South Routt Elementary School in Yampa. There will be more than 75 craft booths and Santa will arrive at 3 p.m. with surprises for the children. The Edith Chapter 61 will provide lunch.
The Hayden Marketplace is also gearing up for Christmas, please check out the locally produced items at the store and support our community artisans.
