Successful events

The Hayden Holiday Stroll was a great idea this year. If you missed shopping downtown during the Holiday Stroll, you still can stop by before Christmas for wonderful gifts.

The Hayden Valley Elementary School Christmas program was delightful. It was great seeing the children perform after working so hard to prepare.

The Hayden Tour of Lights was held Tuesday. The winners are: Kevin and Alaine Montgomery, 400 Clover Circle, for most religious; Paul Jones, 306 Honeysuckle Drive, for most voltage; Randy Newberry, space 58 at Meadow Village Mobile Park, for most fun and festive; and Mike and Julie Lane, 225 3rd St., for most unusual.

Check out the winners and all other decorated houses. A big thanks to the Hayden Chamber of Commerce and Yampa Valley Electric Association for sponsoring the event.

For your information

Please use caution and extreme care when driving to and from the elementary school. Several children are using the new sidewalks and crosswalks and have had several close calls with cars. Please slow down because the roads are very slick and we need to keep pedestrians across town safe.

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association will be providing flu, tetanus, pneumonia and meningitis immunizations for children and adults from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Yampa Valley Regional Airport.
