Vickie and Dennis Parrott had relatives come in and spend time with them at their home. They had a good time visiting and doing things together.

Upcoming

Colorado Northwestern Community College is offering career development for teens, a course with instruction in job searching, career research and job interviews taught by Dede Huston. The class will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays this week through Aug. 30. The cost is $34.



CNCC also is offering a guide to the World Wide Web workshop, which addresses how to use the Internet and online basics, with instructor Greg Pieraccini. It is held Tuesday and Thursday.

The registration deadline for both classes is Monday. Call 970-276-7291 for more information.



The Routt County Fair is gearing up to start this week. If you would like enter the parade, please call Gary Gurney at 970-824-2557 during the day or at 970-870-0837 in the evenings. The theme this year is “Where Friends Meet.” The parade will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. Parade participants must have their floats at the high school parking lot by 8:30 a.m. Entry forms can be dropped off at Hayden Town Hall until noon Friday.

Peewee football is off to a good start with 19 fifth- and sixth-graders attending practice last week. The third and fourth grades got uniforms recently and will start practice soon. Games will be in Craig, so watch for the schedule in next week’s Town Talk.
